Vote Water for Dogs: Participatory Budget Vote on March 25

Project: Upgrades to the 72nd street dog run, including — among other things — the installation of permanent water stations

Funding: $150,000

Who can Vote? Anyone over 14 years old who lives or attends school in District 6 can vote with proof of residency (ID, electric bill, pay stub, etc.)

Why Does this Matter?
1. There are 30,000 registered dogs on the UWS, contributing $40M to the local economy.
2. DogRun72 is used by over 2,000 regular users all year long.
3. DogRun72 is a safe place for dogs and the humans that love them.
4. Dirty water is a threat to dogs and people from Giardia, Leptospirosis, and other diseases.
5. Money will be used for park improvements, including clean water and improved drainage and hopefully lighting, fencing and other requested projects.
